Cooking with May

Today May was experienced making zucchini slice with other children. She mixed and poured the ingredients. May ate the zucchini slice for lunch. Cooking helps children increases language development as well as some measuring and counting basics. It enhances fine motor skills and also teaches life skills. Cooking encourages family bonding and children might learn some new words too, like ‘grate’, ‘mash’ and ‘delicious’! As they are old enough to help with things like setting the table, serving food and cleaning up after meals.

  1. Wow this is lovely! I’m sure she would have enjoyed doing this together with you- and I’m so pleased she enjoyed eating this healthy lunch. What a success!
I think cooking is a great activity for children, they learn to follow instructions, measure and feel different things. And learn about where their food comes from and the time of cooking.
    Thanks for organising.
